Photos from July 2005 CMI are Here!
Well… it took a while, but the photos from both the rehearsals and the concert for this past July’s Chamber Music Institute session are finally up in my gallery. It really was an amamzing expereince for me — not only was my “Perlman” group fantastic on our performance of the Mendelssohn Quartet No. 4 in E Minor (links to Barnes&Noble.com), but my “Stern” group was wonderful as well on Mozart’s String Quartet No. 17, “The Hunt” (links to iTunes)!
And, as I’ve said before, I got to play viola! I know; it’s been one of those things I kept telling myself I’d pick up one day… I finally did, thanks to Kay Pech’s encouragement, and it was both an eye-opening and exhilarating experience. In general, both works are gorgeous, and there were moments in both performances that just caused me to soar emotionally…
